40 oz to Freedom

This stuff is delicious.

I also just found out that my 21st birthday is on my first day of my senior year of college.

I have no luck with life.

Speaking of drinking, I find it humorous that for about 75% of High School I was morally opposed to drinking.

Now, I don’t enjoy getting sloppy drunk and wasted (usually), but having a few drinks to get a nice buzz…? Way better than any deep tissue massage.

I feel like drinking socially (like they do in Europe) should be more acceptable. I generally find that after a few drinks people are more enjoyable, I’m more enjoyable, everything is more enjoyable.

This is making me sound like an alcoholic. I’m not. I’m just saying that I think America has their whole alcohol thing backwards. For a country with the highest drinking age, we have the most alcohol related deaths and accidents. If people learned early on (like in Europe) of the dangers and effects of alcohol, and were exposed to it a lot growing up, it wouldn’t be this big mystery that everyone needs to put their lives in danger to discover. Kids in Europe grew up with alcohol and by the time they hit the drinking age they didn’t need to go out and “discover” it. At least that’s what I learned when I was in France.

I grew up around my Dad drinking beer a lot. I don’t find the need to go out and get wasted to “discover” alcohol.

I know the drinking age is 21 for protective purposes, but honestly, I feel like it’s doing more harm than good. America is so uptight. We need to relax.

Everyone should just go have a beer.
